The Signature

Built, not caught.

A Sportrait is a staged, dramatically lit portrait of one athlete, constructed like a magazine cover. It never happened at a game. That's the point.

Staged. Lit. Directed. See the full Sportraits gallery →

Game photos capture what happened. A Sportrait creates what a season felt like.

No play looks like this from the bleachers, because it isn't a play. It's a portrait session in uniform: off-camera flash, deep contrast, a dramatic sky, and an athlete directed frame by frame until the image matches their intensity. One player. One unforgettable image. The kind that goes on a wall, a banner, a recruiting profile, or a senior night poster.

Works with everything else. Add a Sportrait to a game-coverage session or a senior session, or book it on its own. Football, hockey, baseball, softball, volleyball, wrestling, lacrosse, cheer, dance, track. If there's a uniform, there's a Sportrait in it.

The Details

How a session works.

Nothing is left to chance, and nothing is expected of the athlete except showing up in uniform. Direction is the product.

We plan the image first.

Sport, location, time of day, and the mood we're building toward. Golden hour and stadium lights are both on the table.

The session is staged and directed.

Off-camera lighting, posing guidance the whole way, and as many attempts as the shot needs. Athletes who have never been photographed do great here.

The edit builds the drama.

Cinematic color, deep contrast, and a finished composite where the concept calls for it.

Delivery to a private gallery.

Finished images arrive in your own online gallery, ready for the wall, the profile, or the poster.
